For this weeks tutorial, the definition of our individual project briefs was required. Below is my definition of the brief cultivated a few weeks ago:
Peter suggested I pose further questions in this same model of the brief [where will children play?]. Also he suggested defining 6 areas were people play [all ages | domains | backgrounds]. Also to present a prototype of the presentation panels, plans, sections, and site models.

Establish and enhance the projected futures of Paddington in consideration with the current architectural, social, technological and political trends.
- Describe and portray the predicted outcomes of the proposed future changes and growth.
- How will the identity of the area evolve?
- How will the change of social normalities affect the community and the individual?
- How will the relationship between public and private shift?
- Create an ambience explaining future “current” lifestyles and the relevance of a community life in Paddington.
- How will tradition and social interaction be affected and moved from the 2012 mentality?
- OUTCOMES: diagrams, site navigation, city contextual mapping, site renders and sketches.
STAGE | PURPOSE | NAVIGATION | INTEGRITY
Explore the possibilities surrounding the contextual parameters while manifesting an efficient and social machine for living.
- How can Paddington Central be infiltrated with the notion of change and exploration?
- What factors of the site can be emphasised to enthuse the community and formulate an organic community?
- What services are integral to a healthy and educated lifestyle?
- How does the stage support the community?
- OUTCOMES: space planning, exploration of gaps in social facilitators, diagramming, wayfinding analysis, context renders, sectional analysis, detail drawings.
SCENES | PRESENCE & IDENITY | FIRST-PERSON EXPERIENCE
Embed the community (Paddington) identity into the site through community encouragement and an increased sense of belonging.
- What factors make the community feel secure emotionally and physically?
- What connection does the inhabitant have to the identity of the site?
- How does the community fit and enhance the space?
- What experiences are key to the building?
- OUTCOMES: renders, context mapping, blog communication, plans.
