Individual Project One Statement

Setting the Scene: Future 2040
Social media and technology has been streamlined to be an integral part of a person's day. It tells them where they have to be, when they have to be there, and how to get there. It keeps them in touch with everyone important around them. It tells them basically everything they will need to know for the day; times, important notification, dietary requirements, financial guidance. Technology streamlines your life, so you have time for the more important things.

Paddington Central: The Community
Paddington Central has been converted to an educational heart of the suburb. The place where everyone meets, checks in and feels as a second home. The community surrounding Paddington Homeroom provides a buzz that exists from the way to work and school in the morning, to the late of night when locals are stumbling home from the local game at Suncorp Stadium. It is a place of safety, connectivity, and belonging and provides a proud and solid identity within the community.

Paddington Homeroom: Educational Sustainability
Almost 30 years ago, there was a decline in replacement generations. This caused issues within the workforce and there was a severe issue with maintaining the population of professionals that would be required for the expansion of the Brisbane area.

Paddington Homeroom is one of many initiatives throughout South East Queensland that has been implemented since its inception in 2012. It was set up on a basis of educational replenishment, community support and connectivity. The project considered a variety of social, cultural, political and educational realities that were present at the time. The growing community of entitlement and laziness is no longer an issue that haunts the government and the taxpayer alike. There has been a steady decline in unemployment, which has even stimulated economic growth.

The implementation of an educational environmental awareness, over time, has become a part of life. As in the 2000's, the elderly generation talked about issues of the past, today in 2040, educational ignorance is another faint memory of the past generations, a social paradigm merely reflected upon in with sense of reminiscence.
